Well, at least one reason I love to knit, is because I get pictures like this.
Here is Adeline, our erstwhile baby blogger now grown into a little girl, modelling her new Bubblegum Baby Set:
According to her equally adorable mom, Kristin (shown here recently with her second kiddo, baby Sullivan):
"Addie insisted on wearing her new sweater and hat all weekend. You would be amazed by the number of compliments she received. Strangers kept asking me if I had made them. I was like, totally… this 5 month old and 2.5 month old just docilely read books while I prolifically knit.
Anyway, it was especially sweet because when she says “sweater” it sounds like “feather.”
She also wanted me to make sure I documented all of the funny faces that she could make in her sweater. Here they are. (For the record, her shirt and dress were clean when I put them on her. Then she discovered a plate of strawberries.)"
I think these photos just made my month; I have them on my computer at work and look at them at least 3 times a day and laugh out loud every time!

Well, I have one more day tomorrow to work and pack up enough of my office to keep me covered for two weeks, and then it is off to New Jersey to assist my Mom and Dad, so I may be in radio silence mode for a bit. My brother is going to return from 2 1/2 weeks out there, only to have to spend another 2 at my house so he can help with my son, Nathan, and my dachshund, Madeline, when I am away. I sure hope we can get our parents here soon, so that we won't have to travel so far to help ease their passage through this tough stage of life.
Thank you all so much for your kind birthday wishes and sweet words about my knitting. More than ever I am grateful to spend some quiet time knitting, even if it is just 10 minutes before bedtime, to keep me calm and centered.
I hope your spring-into-summer is as glorious as the one Minnesota is finally experiencing, and that your life is abloom with color, both in flowers and in yarn!
